About the Forum
The Fashion Revolution Forum (FFR) was the first platform in the country created exclusively to foster research and debate on sustainable challenges and solutions within the fashion system. The project, which has been around since 2018, opens a call for theoretical essays (texts) and illustrations on the themes of the annual global campaign of Fashion Revolution every year in May. The approved essays are presented at an event that takes place in October and are published in a digital e-book, while the approved illustrations are exhibited at the event location.
The submitted written projects are evaluated by the Scientific Committee, made up of the 30 most distinguished academics and thinkers in fashion and sustainability from across the country. The illustration projects are evaluated by the Evaluation Committee, composed of 10 prominent representatives from the national design market.
By encouraging in-depth studies through different methodological and philosophical approaches, the Forum aims to position Brazil as a central hub for knowledge generation, both nationally and globally.
As a way to deepen the production of Brazilian knowledge in fashion and sustainability and enhance the relevance of the project, in 2023 the first edition of the Escola de Moda Decolonial Fórum Fashion Revolution was held. The initiative offered 14 free classes aimed at expanding the debate and fostering critical, decolonial, and diverse thinking. The goal was to encourage participants to research, analyze information, and develop theoretical essays and illustrations, directed towards the submission of the FFR open call, while promoting an inclusive integration of scientific and popular knowledge, as well as ancestral and regenerative wisdom.
The call for applications to the Escola de Moda Decolonial and the Fórum Fashion Revolution will be launched in the first half of 2025. Stay tuned!

In this edition of the Digital Book of the Fashion Revolution Forum, access reflections and ideas focused on Race and Gender, Climate, and Technology in fashion.
Composed of articles and illustrations by researchers and fashion professionals from all over Brazil, the book stands out for its production of genuinely Brazilian, decolonial knowledge focused on sustainable solutions in the fashion industry.
